KRAS G12D

Description

GEMNabP is a KRAS G12D inhibitor designed to target solid tumors harboring specific KRAS G12D mutations, including colorectal cancer. This targeted therapy represents a precision medicine approach for patients whose tumors carry the KRAS G12D mutation, which occurs in approximately 12-15% of colorectal cancers. The drug specifically blocks the mutated KRAS protein that drives uncontrolled cell growth and proliferation in these cancers.

Mechanism of Action

GEMNabP works by directly inhibiting the KRAS G12D mutant protein, which is a critical oncogenic driver in many solid tumors. The drug binds to the mutated KRAS protein and blocks its ability to activate downstream signaling pathways that promote cancer cell survival, growth, and metastasis. By selectively targeting this specific mutation, GEMNabP aims to halt tumor progression while potentially sparing normal cells that lack this mutation.
