Description

Lobaplatin is used in the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC), particularly in combination with other agents. It has shown efficacy in clinical trials as a single agent or in combination therapy for advanced CRC patients who have failed prior chemotherapy regimens; however, its use remains limited to certain regions.

Mechanism of Action

Lobaplatin is a third-generation platinum-based anticancer agent that forms intrastrand DNA cross-links and interstrand DNA cross-links, thereby inhibiting DNA replication and transcription.

Myelosuppression; nausea and vomiting; alopecia; nephrotoxicity
