Description

G17DT-Irinotecan is used in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) as second-line therapy after failure with fluoropyrimidine-based regimens. It has shown efficacy when combined with other agents such as leucovorin and 5-fluorouracil.

Mechanism of Action

G17DT-Irinotecan is a prodrug that, after administration, is converted to its active metabolite SN-38, which binds topoisomerase I and inhibits DNA replication.
