Description

Daratumumab is primarily used in the treatment of multiple myeloma and has shown promise in clinical trials for other hematologic malignancies. Mechanism of Action

Daratumumab is a human IgG kappa monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to CD38, an antigen highly expressed on multiple myeloma cells and some solid tumors including colorectal cancer; it induces cell death by apoptosis and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).
