Description
Zoldonrasib is a KRAS G12C inhibitor used in the treatment of colorectal cancer patients with KRAS G12C mutations. This targeted therapy binds to the mutated KRAS protein to block downstream signaling pathways that promote cancer cell growth and survival.
Mechanism of Action
The drug works by covalently binding to the KRAS G12C mutant protein in its GDP-bound state, effectively locking it in an inactive conformation. This prevents the mutated KRAS from activating downstream oncogenic signaling cascades including the MAPK and PI3K pathways.
Side Effects
Not all side effects are listed. Side effects vary by individual. Always consult your oncologist.
