Description
Streptozocin is an alkylating antineoplastic antibiotic derived from Streptomyces achromogenes. While it is a real chemotherapy agent, it is not typically used for colorectal cancer treatment.
Mechanism of Action
It works by cross-linking DNA strands and interfering with DNA replication and transcription in rapidly dividing cells.

Severe nausea and vomiting
Nephrotoxicity (kidney damage)
Hepatotoxicity (liver toxicity)
