RMC-5127 (Various)

Other Medications

Description

RMC-5127 is a selective KRAS G12C inhibitor designed for treatment of colorectal cancer patients harboring the KRAS G12C mutation. This oral small molecule therapy targets tumors with specific genetic alterations that drive cancer cell growth and proliferation.

Mechanism of Action

The drug works by covalently binding to the KRAS G12C mutant protein, locking it in an inactive state and preventing downstream signaling pathways that promote tumor growth. This targeted approach disrupts cellular proliferation and can lead to tumor regression in KRAS G12C-positive colorectal cancers.
