Rilvegostomig

Other Medications

Description

Rilvegostomig (also known as Dato-DXd) is an investigational medication currently being studied in clinical trials for various advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer (CRC). It is being evaluated in a Phase 2 trial (NCT05489211) as a single treatment (monotherapy) and in combination with other cancer drugs. The goal of the trial is to assess the safety and effectiveness of Rilvegostomig in patients with advanced CRC who have not responded to standard treatments or for whom standard treatments are not appropriate. This trial is open-label, meaning both the researchers and participants know which treatment is being given. It is an uncontrolled study, meaning there is no comparison group receiving a different treatment or placebo.

Mechanism of Action

Rilvegostomig is being investigated for its potential to target cancer cells. The specific way it works (its molecular target or mechanism of action) is still being characterized in clinical trials. It is being studied both alone and in combination with other established or experimental cancer therapies to see if it can help shrink tumors or slow their growth in patients with advanced solid tumors, including CRC.

Side Effects

As Rilvegostomig is an investigational drug Its side effects are still being carefully evaluated in ongoing clinical trials. The specific side effects observed and their frequency will be determined as more data becomes available from these trials. Participants in the trial will be closely monitored for any adverse events.

Not all side effects are listed. Side effects vary by individual. Always consult your oncologist.
