Description
PRGN-2009 is an investigational vaccine being studied for certain cancers caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It is designed to stimulate the body's immune system to target HPV. In clinical trials, it is being tested alone or in combination with another investigational drug called M7824 in people with HPV-associated cancers that have spread (metastatic) or are recurrent. It is also being studied in people newly diagnosed with certain types of HPV-positive oropharyngeal cancer (cancer of the back of the throat, including the base of the tongue and tonsils) or sinonasal cancer (cancer in the nasal cavity or sinuses). The goal is to see if the vaccine can boost the immune response against the cancer cells.
