Description

Pentoxifylline is not commonly used in the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC); its use in oncology is mainly investigational and focuses on potential roles in improving blood flow or reducing inflammation. There are no established clinical guidelines for its use in CRC, and it has not been approved by regulatory agencies for this indication.

Mechanism of Action

Pentoxifylline inhibits platelet aggregation and reduces blood viscosity by increasing red blood cell deformability; it also has anti-inflammatory effects through the modulation of cytokines.

Nausea; vómito; dolor abdominal; diarrea
