Description
ME-344 is an experimental drug being studied by MEI Pharma, Inc. It is designed to target the oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos) pathway, which is essential for cancer cell energy production. In a Phase 1b clinical trial (NCT05824559), ME-344 was tested in combination with bevacizumab (Avastin) for people with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) who had previously received other standard treatments. The trial included patients with various tumor characteristics, including those with BRAF mutations and different MSI statuses (MSI-H or MSS). The goal of the trial was to assess the safety and potential effectiveness of this combination. The trial has been terminated. ME-344 is not currently approved for use in colorectal cancer or any other condition.
Mechanism of Action
