Description

Lomustine is an alkylating chemotherapy agent belonging to the nitrosourea class of medications. While primarily used for brain tumors and Hodgkin's lymphoma, it has limited application in colorectal cancer treatment.

Mechanism of Action

Lomustine works by cross-linking DNA strands and interfering with RNA synthesis, ultimately leading to cancer cell death.
