Description
IN111 is an investigational medication being studied in clinical trials, specifically in the context of colorectal cancer. It is being investigated as part of a treatment approach called pretargeted radioimmunotherapy. This approach involves using a special antibody (like IMP-288) that targets cancer cells expressing CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen, a protein often found on colorectal cancer cells). This antibody is first labeled with a radioactive isotope, In111, and given to the patient (pretherapy cycle). Following this, the patient receives a second component, often a radioactive isotope like Lutetium-177 (Lu177) attached to a peptide (like Tf2), which is designed to bind to the antibody already attached to the cancer cells.
