Description

IMM-101 is a heat-killed whole-cell mycobacterial immunotherapy derived from Mycobacterium obuense that functions as an immune system activator. It is designed to stimulate the innate immune system and enhance anti-tumor immunity when combined with standard cancer treatments. In colorectal cancer, IMM-101 has been evaluated in combination with standard of care therapies for patients with metastatic or unresectable disease.

Mechanism of Action

IMM-101 works by activating toll-like receptors and other pattern recognition receptors on immune cells, triggering a cascade of innate immune responses. This activation leads to enhanced macrophage function, increased cytokine production, and improved antigen presentation, ultimately promoting a more robust anti-tumor immune response when used along
