Patient-specific tumor neoantigens

Description

GRT-C901 is a personalized neoantigen cancer vaccine designed specifically for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. This individualized immunotherapy is created by analyzing each patient's unique tumor mutations to identify neoantigens - abnormal proteins that can trigger an immune response against cancer cells. The vaccine is administered in combination with immune checkpoint blockade therapy and is specifically developed for patients with microsatellite stable (MSS) colorectal tumors.

Mechanism of Action

GRT-C901 works by training the patient's immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells displaying specific neoantigens unique to their tumor. The vaccine contains synthetic peptides or RNA sequences encoding these patient-specific neoantigens, which stimulate T-cell responses against the cancer. When combined with checkpoint inhibitors, this approach aims to overcome the typically poor immunotherapy response seen in MSS colorectal cancers.
