Galectin-3

Description

GM-CT-01 is a galactomannan polysaccharide derived from guar gum that functions as a galectin-3 antagonist. In colorectal cancer treatment, it is used in combination with 5-fluorouracil for patients with metastatic disease who have progressed through multiple prior lines of therapy. The compound works by blocking galectin-3, a protein involved in cancer cell adhesion, metastasis, and immune evasion.
