GH21

Other Medications

Description

GH21 is an investigational medication currently being studied for its potential use in advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer. It is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to determine its safety and tolerability, and to find the highest dose that can be given without causing unacceptable side effects (the maximum tolerated dose or MTD). The trials are enrolling patients with advanced solid tumors who have not responded to or cannot tolerate standard treatments. The goal of these early trials is primarily to assess safety, not to determine if the drug works, although early signs of effectiveness might be observed.

Mechanism of Action

The specific mechanism of action for GH21 is currently being investigated in clinical trials. It is an investigational drug, meaning its exact way of working and molecular target are still being studied to understand how it might affect cancer cells.

Side Effects

As GH21 is an investigational drug in early-phase trials (Phase 1) The full range of potential side effects is still being evaluated. The primary focus of Phase 1 trials is safety. Information about specific side effects observed in these trials is not yet widely available But common side effects in Phase 1 trials can vary widely depending on the drug's mechanism. Patients participating in these trials are closely monitored for any adverse events.

Not all side effects are listed. Side effects vary by individual. Always consult your oncologist.
