Fluzoparib (Various)

Other Medications

Description

Fluzoparib is a PARP (poly ADP-ribose polymerase) inhibitor used in the treatment of certain cancers, particularly those with homologous recombination deficiency. It is primarily indicated for ovarian cancer and other solid tumors that harbor BRCA mutations or exhibit DNA repair pathway defects.

Mechanism of Action

Fluzoparib works by inhibiting PARP enzymes, which are essential for DNA single-strand break repair, leading to accumulation of DNA damage and synthetic lethality in cancer cells with defective homologous recombination repair mechanisms.
