Description

Elimusertib (also known as BAY 1895344) is an investigational drug currently being studied in clinical trials, including one for colorectal cancer. It is being investigated to see if it can improve the effectiveness of standard chemotherapy (FOLFIRI, which includes fluorouracil and irinotecan) in advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer. The trial is designed to determine the safety and the best dose of elimusertib when added to FOLFIRI. Researchers are also looking at how elimusertib affects tumor cells and DNA damage signaling, and how it might relate to the ATM gene status in the tumor. This drug is not yet approved for treating colorectal cancer.
