Description

Decoy20 is an experimental cancer immunotherapy currently being studied in clinical trials. It is designed to stimulate the body's own immune system to fight cancer. It works by activating multiple Toll-like receptors (TLRs), which are part of the immune system. Trials are investigating Decoy20 alone and in combination with other immunotherapy drugs like tislelizumab. Studies are evaluating its safety, how well it can be tolerated, and its potential effectiveness in various advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer (specifically those with liver metastasis) and others like liver, bladder, head and neck, pancreatic, and lung cancers. The trials are in early phases (Phase 1) to determine the right dose and assess initial activity.

Mechanism of Action

Decoy20 is a novel immunotherapy that acts as a multiple Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonist. TLRs are proteins on immune cells that recognize danger signals, like those from cancer cells. By activating these TLRs, Decoy20 aims to boost the immune system's response against the tumor.

Side Effects

Decoy20 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials. Safety and side effects are being carefully evaluated in these trials. The most common side effects observed in early trials are typically related to immune system activation Such as fever Chills Fatigue And flu-like symptoms. More specific side effect data for Decoy20 in colorectal cancer patients is still being collected and analyzed.

Not all side effects are listed. Side effects vary by individual. Always consult your oncologist.
