Description

Dacarbazine is not commonly used in the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC). It has been primarily investigated for other types of cancers such as melanoma. Its use in CRC remains investigational and it is not recommended as standard therapy in any line of treatment for CRC based on current clinical evidence.

Mechanism of Action

Dacarbazine is an alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and repair, leading to cell death.

Side Effects

Myelosuppression; nausea and vomiting; alopecia; anorexia; fatigue; constipation
