Description
BAX69 is an investigational medication being studied for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). It is being tested in patients whose cancer has progressed despite previous treatments (third or fourth line therapy). The goal of the clinical trials is to determine the best dose of BAX69 and to see if it improves outcomes when used with standard chemotherapy (5-FU/leucovorin) or another targeted therapy (panitumumab), compared to standard treatment alone. The trials are comparing BAX69 plus 5-FU/leucovorin in patients with KRAS or NRAS mutations, and BAX69 plus panitumumab in patients without these mutations (wild-type). BAX69 is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials.
