Description

AZD5305 is an experimental drug currently being studied by AstraZeneca. It is being investigated as a potential treatment for advanced solid cancers, including colorectal cancer, although it is not yet approved for this use. Clinical trials are exploring AZD5305 both by itself (as monotherapy) and in combination with other cancer drugs. These trials are in the early phases (Phase 1), meaning they are primarily focused on determining the right dose and assessing safety in patients with advanced cancers. The goal is to see if AZD5305 can shrink tumors or slow their growth in these patients. It is taken orally.

Mechanism of Action

AZD5305 is being studied in clinical trials. The specific way it works (its mechanism of action) is still under investigation. It is being evaluated for its potential to target processes involved in cancer growth and survival.

Side Effects

Because AZD5305 is still in early-phase clinical trials (Phase 1) The full range of potential side effects is still being evaluated. Information about side effects from these early trials is not yet widely available. As more data becomes available from ongoing studies A clearer picture of the side effect profile will emerge.

Not all side effects are listed. Side effects vary by individual. Always consult your oncologist.
