Description

AZD0022 is an experimental drug being studied by AstraZeneca. It is being investigated as a potential treatment for certain types of colorectal cancer that have a specific mutation called KRASG12D. This mutation is found in some colorectal cancers. The drug is taken orally (by mouth). Clinical trials are currently underway to determine the safety, how the drug is processed by the body (pharmacokinetics), and if it has any effect on the cancer (efficacy). These trials are in the early phases (Phase 1 and Phase 1/2a), meaning they primarily focus on safety and finding the right dose.
