Description

Anastrozole is primarily used in the treatment of breast cancer and not typically indicated for colorectal cancer. It has shown efficacy in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer as an adjuvant therapy or for advanced disease, but there are no established clinical uses in CCR.

Mechanism of Action

Anastrozole is a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor that irreversibly binds to the aromatase enzyme, blocking the conversion of androgens to estrogens.
