Mesothelin (MSLN)

Description

A2b543 is a mesothelin-targeting logic-gated CAR T cell therapy designed for solid tumors expressing mesothelin (MSLN). This engineered cellular immunotherapy utilizes the patient's own T cells, which are genetically modified to recognize and attack cancer cells that display mesothelin on their surface. In colorectal cancer, this therapy targets the subset of tumors that express mesothelin, a protein found on various solid tumor types.

Mechanism of Action

The therapy works through chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells that have been engineered with logic-gating technology to specifically recognize mesothelin-expressing cancer cells. Once the modified T cells encounter mesothelin on tumor cells, they become activated and mount a targeted immune response against the cancer, leading to tumor cell destruction through cytotoxic mechanisms.
