Description

Tepotinib is used in the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer with MET exon 14 skipping mutations or MET gene amplification; it has not been approved for use in colorectal cancer and its efficacy in this setting remains under investigation. It is typically prescribed as a single agent.

Mechanism of Action

Tepotinib is a potent and selective inhibitor of the Met receptor tyrosine kinase, which plays a role in cell proliferation, survival, angiogenesis, and metastasis; it binds to the ATP-binding site of MET, thereby inhibiting its activity.
