Description
Regorafenib (commonly referred to as "Rego") is an oral multikinase inhibitor used as a treatment option for metastatic colorectal cancer in patients who have previously been treated with standard therapies. It is typically reserved for patients whose cancer has progressed after other treatments including fluoropyrimidine, oxaliplatin, irinotecan, and anti-VEGF therapy.
Mechanism of Action
Regorafenib works by blocking multiple protein kinases involved in tumor growth, angiogenesis (blood vessel formation), and metastasis, including VEGFR, PDGFR, FGFR, RET, and RAF kinases.
