Description

Pemazyre is approved for the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma with specific genetic alterations but has not been studied extensively in colorectal cancer. It is used as a targeted therapy and its efficacy and safety profile are well established in biliary tract cancers, but it is investigational or off-label in other contexts.

Mechanism of Action

Pemigatanib is a selective and potent inhibitor of FGFR1-3 kinases, which are often mutated or amplified in various cancers including cholangiocarcinoma but not typically colorectal cancer.
