Pd-1

Inmunoterapia

Description

PD-1 inhibitors are used in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) for patients with mismatch repair deficient tumors; they have shown efficacy as a second-line or later therapy, particularly when combined with other immunotherapies or chemotherapy.

Mechanism of Action

PD-1 inhibitors block the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, thereby enhancing T-cell activation and proliferation; this mechanism is crucial for restoring anti-tumor immunity.

Side Effects

Immune-related adverse events; fatigue; nausea; diarrhea; pruritus

Not all side effects are listed. Side effects vary by individual. Always consult your oncologist.
