Description
Lorlatinib is primarily used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer with ALK or ROS1 gene rearrangements, not colorectal cancer. It has shown efficacy as a third-line therapy for patients who have progressed on other ALK inhibitors.
Mechanism of Action
Lorlatinib is a potent, selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) receptor and the c-ros oncogene 1 (ROS1) receptor.
Side Effects
Severe neutropenia; increased risk of infections; hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia; peripheral edema
