Description

Avutometinib is under investigation for the treatment of colorectal cancer with mutations in the KRAS or NRAS genes. It has shown promise in preclinical studies but its efficacy and safety profile have not yet been established in clinical trials for colorectal cancer patients.

Mechanism of Action

Avutometinib is an investigational oral small molecule that selectively inhibits the activity of mutant forms of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) such as L858R and exon 19 deletions, but has minimal impact on wild-type EGFR.

Fatigue; Nausea; Diarrhea; Vomiting; Increased risk of infection
